Sample C Code For Microcontrollers
For various popular microcontrollers we intend to provide sample C code for interface with our parts
ZGUS interface protocols do not use UART wake up characters for simplicity. For MIG and SGET use this is not an issue due to their purpose. For the BLUE chip this is only an issue if the BLUE chip is used for very low power purposes.
MSP430 parts can wake up very quickly from sleep and become fully functional without special break characters.
While it might seem some PIC parts do need a special UART break wake up character, surprisingly and contrary to documentation provided by Microchip, we found we could wake up PIC parts from a low power sleep mode without losses up to 57600 baud.
Currently none of the code below is supported.
MSP430 code used during development trials
PIC16F886 code written to test if PICs would work with current ZGUS interface protorcols without a special break character to wake up PIC parts put into a very low power sleep mode. Version 0.4, 12 January 2009. Appears reliable at 2400 and 57600 baud. Not so at 115200. Tested with Hidprobe.
